What's Happening at Canticle Farm? Early May 2010 Photos
By early May 2010, much activity is occuring at Canticle Farm. We had our last Spring Vegetable sale in the barn. The high tunnels are full of plants. Most of the onion family have been transplanted in the field. Many vegetables are being started in the green houses.
This is the first year that we are using biodegradable plastic to control the weeds in the onion beds.
The garlic that was planted and mulched last fall looks great.
Lettuce is transplanted.
More lettuce and pac choi grow in the Canticle Farm green house.
The solar panels on the roof will generate electricity for the farm's use when completely installed.
Many beds in the field are plowed and tilled, waiting to be planted. In the distance the two high tunnels, the green house and the barn can be seen.
Is there a bird making a nest in this birdhouse in the Reflection Area?
