What's Happening at Canticle Farm? July Photos Part 1

In July 2009, the emphasis shifts to cultivation as the majority of the plants are growing in the field. Fewer weeds means a higher vegetable yield. Vegetables are harvested for the Summer CSA Program, the REAP Olean Farmers' Market and the Farm Stand.

A zephyr squash is growing in the field. Zephyr is a variety of yellow summer squash.

The potato plants are flowering. Some varieties have white flowers and others have purple flowers.
