In May 2009, the emphasis at Canticle Farm was on planting and transplanting in the St. Bonaventure greenhouse, the two high tunnels, and the field. In Mid-May, harvesting crops started for the Spring CSA Share Program, the REAP Olean Farmers' Market and the Farm Stand.

Pepper and tomato plants grow in flats in the Canticle Farm greenhouse until it is time to plant them.

Yin helped everyone sign the Distribution Log for the first Spring CSA Share Program pick up day.

Miss Patty arrived at the farm in the middle of May.

A large number of volunteers helped plant the potatoes over Memorial Day weekend.

As spring turns into summer, the spinach plants in the high tunnels are replaced by tomato and pepper plants.

This lupin plant was one of the first to flower for the season in the Reflection Area.

This bachelor button plant brings color to the Reflection Area.  Our two high tunnels are seen in the background.

Peas and oats grow in the field. The oats are grown to naturally trellis the peas.
