What's Happening at Canticle Farm? September Photos
In September 2009, the last few seedings were completed and transplanting for 2010 vegetables started in the high tunnels. All of the winter squash and goards were harvested and brought to the green house for temporary storage. Vegetables continue to be harvested for the Summer CSA Program, the REAP Olean Farmers' Market and the Farm Stand.

PYO stands for Pick Your Own. We grow extra beds of beans. The CSA shareholders are given the opportunity to pick more beans. We offer this as a way to get more value for your money.
The broccoli that we eat is actually the flower of the plant. The fall broccoli did well in the cool, wet weather.
The caulifower that we eat is also the flower of the plant. The fall crop did well in the cool, wet weather.
Brussel sprout plants lool like little soldiers marching in a line. These will be harvested after the first hard freeze.
Celery has been growing in the field all summer. This will soon be harvested.
In the high tunnels, the tomato and pepper plants are replaced by greens such as lettuce and spinach.
